Stamford Hospital – The Innovation and Transformation of Constructing a New Healthcare Facility

Learn about the project management of constructing a new “state-of-the-art” healthcare facility – Stamford Hospital. Get to know some of the challenges and successes for building a new “state-of-the-art” hospital from the ground up.
Some points/questions that will be discussed are:

  • How long did it take?
  • How difficult was it to coordinate the construction with clinical requirements?
  • Technology Project Planning – State of the art Video/Audio teleconferencing
  • Moving clinical areas to their new space and how to manage patient care during the move

Presenter: John Rossi - Executive Director, Information Services & Security Officer
John is responsible for developing and implementing an expansion strategy for growth at Stamford Hospital. He provides leadership support to 54 professionals in execution of diverse IT strategies and 24 x 7 operational support for two hospitals and 26 community practices. He has previously worked at Prodigy Service as a manager, GE Asset Management as a Chief Technology officer, GMO as a Senior Technology Leader, and Resource Search Company as a Chief Technology Officer and Consultant. At each of these positions he has established himself as a leader for change and driver for innovation. He seeks progression and development in each project he takes on. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Iona College.
