We are all coming off the high from our 2017 Symposium Event!! Jack Duggal, Linda Van Valkenburgh, and John Sherlock rocked the house with all the great information given to our participants. Our hosts at Manhattanville College were superb and everyone had a fabulous time. The overwhelming positive energy surrounded us all day. I could not be more pleased with the team who made it all happen; they knocked it out of the park. Most of all, thank you to everyone who turned out for this great event.
Now it’s back to work. (I know, short-lived kudos!) We have Sharlene Douthit from Sandler Training coming to our Chapter meeting on Tuesday, May 9th. She will be presenting the “Geometry of Success”. Sharlene works as a Business Consultant at Achievement Dynamics, which is one of the top ten Sandler sales training centers in the world. She is responsible for sales and for training and coaching individuals, sales teams and business owners who are committed to raising the bar in their organizations through an ongoing reinforcement training known as Sandler Training. We are honored to have her this month!
Next up this month, our Breakfast Roundtable group will be discussing “Project Management for Human Resources” on May 23rd. This is a virtual meeting so be sure to visit our website for info on how to attend the session. Betsy Steele will share her experiences applying PM principles and processes to Human Resources Management. All participants are encouraged to share their tips and ideas during the discussion.
One final note, one of our neighboring chapter has extended a special offer to PMI Westchester members. SNEC PMI is holding a Certified Scrum Product Owner Training and Certification on Saturday, May 20th. This 2-day event provides in-depth understanding of the Product Owner role. Participants will receive the Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification, as well as 16 PDUs toward PMP re-certification, or PMI-ACP certifications. Check out our website for information and links to register.
I hope to see you all month long at these events!!
