May brings a mix of reflection, recognition, and connection across our community.
As we move through the year, we have had moments to recognize the diverse voices and experiences that shape both our profession and our communities: from Black History Month and Women's History Month to Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month this May. These observances remind us that the strength of our community comes from the range of perspectives and contributions within it.
May also gives us the opportunity to honor service during Military Appreciation Month and reflect as we approach Memorial Day, alongside cultural moments like Cinco de Mayo, which celebrates Mexican heritage and history. Together, these moments highlight the broader communities we are part of and serve.
From a professional perspective, May also includes PMO Day, a great opportunity to recognize the role PMOs play in driving alignment, enabling strategy, and delivering meaningful outcomes across organizations.
Looking Back - and Ahead
Our Annual Symposium in April brought together professionals across industries for a day of learning, insight, and connection. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed.
Planning is already underway for next year's Symposium, along with a potential Fall/Winter summit as we continue expanding opportunities to connect and grow.
If you are interested in getting more involved, this is a great time to step in, whether that' is helping shape programming, supporting events, or contributing ideas.
Community Connections – Bowling Event (Tuesday, 19 May 2026)
One of the strengths of our Chapter continues to be the connections we build beyond formal events.
Join us on May 19 at Bowlero White Plains for a relaxed evening of bowling, conversation, and community. These informal gatherings are where relationships grow.
