Westchester Chapter Vision/Mission/Objectives

Our intent is to make the chapter the hub for all project management information and activities in Westchester and neighboring counties.

  • If you want to know what project management events are taking place, if you need training, if you want to network with other project managers, if you are looking for employment, mentoring, literature, products and services, you will find it all here.

  • If you have information to share with the project management community, the chapter provides the opportunity to write articles for our newsletter, to post job openings, to publicize your products and services on our web site, and to discuss ideas with your peers at our chapter meetings and breakfast roundtables.

  • If you can think of any project management related information sharing service the chapter doesn't provide for project managers in our area, please bring it to the attention of the chapter president and your needs will be addressed.

Westchester Chapter Formation Meeting
On July 5, 2002 an invitation went out to 426 PMI members and non-members in the Westchester and Rockland county area.  52 responded by attending our chapter formation meeting on August 13 at the BOCES LHRIC in Elmsford.  A vision for the chapter was proposed by chapter founder, Ed Mahler.  8 attendees stepped forward to become the first PMI Westchester board of directors, and 12 volunteered to fill committee positions.  Today most of the programs outlined in that vision are in operation.
