Message from the President - December 2017

As we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect time to celebrate all our accomplishments this year. Our membership is soaring at 700 members, all of our programs have been well received, and we are slowly building our volunteer base. However, as we know, there is always room for improvement, and that’s exactly what I will be focusing on as I reflect on our accomplishments over the holiday.

This month we have a special event. We are focusing on our most important asset, our members. Join us as we celebrate you, our members, starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5th, at the Saw Mill River Tavern, located at 925 Saw Mill River Road in Ardsley. There will be a one-hour hors d'oeuvres & cocktail event (drink ticket included) prior to our regular Chapter meeting event. Bring your appetite and network with your Chapter friends, our speaker, and the Board!!

Our speaker Jeffrey Bonar will be discussing how to better integrate mobile apps into your business. This is a great opportunity to learn about how to fit real world tasks into a mobile app. He has asked for you bring your domain areas and use cases in order to have a spirited discussion about how make powerful mobile apps to successfully solve real world problems.

In the meantime, I announced a new program last month for which we are still looking for volunteers to run. I would like to get some lunchtime conference calls by industry (healthcare, finance, IT, or other) up and running. This would help maximize the number of PDU's all our members would be able to obtain monthly, and it doesn’t take a lot of your time. I estimate roughly 2 hours a month with call preparation, holding the meeting, and post reporting. If anyone is interested, please connect with me at president@pmiwestchester.org. Remember, volunteering for these types of events earn you PDU's!!

Lastly, I want to take the time to wish all of our members and their families a very Happy and Healthy New Year!

See you at the Saw Mill River Tavern on December 5th....
