Speaker:
Regina King

Regina has over 18 years experience as a career counselor. She has helped people of diverse backgrounds to think about and make alternative career choices.

Ms King worked for the New York State Office of Employee Relations where she conducted career seminars for various New York State agencies. The employees learned how to choose career options, negotiate career paths within the agencies and outside of the civil service system.

She trained and supervised counselors in the Adult and Continuing Education Program for the NYC Department of Education.

In addition, she created and conducted career workshops for the Association for Training and Development in Westchester, NY Association of Black Educators, The Bronx Business and Professional Women’s Organization and the New York Public Library.

Ms King was an Adjunct/Instructor/Career Counselor for the College of New Rochelle, Lehman College, Cornell University Extension Program NYU Career/Life Planning Program and the College of Staten Island. At NYU she instructed a program on Career Planning for Adolescents.

She currently works for the Westchester Library System conducting career counseling seminars and job search workshops. Her most recent seminar is Career/Life Planning After 50. Many clients take this seminar to consider options at this stage in their lives. They make decisions such as changing careers, going back to school, retiring or working part-time.

Her individual practice helps clients during various stages in their careers from college to early retirees.
