The Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) leads the Department of Homeland Security's efforts in preventing targeted violence and terrorism by working with state and local authorities as well as with partners across all disciplines and sectors of society. This presentation will offer a brief overview of the CP3 mission, the public health informed approach as well as various targeted violence prevention programs and resources that demonstrate how prevention of targeted violence and terrorism is possible and how everyone has a role to play, including Project Managers.

Jamey Barcomb joined the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) in May 2022 as a Grants Analyst and assumed responsibility as a Regional Prevention Coordinator in September 2022 where he currently works to form partnerships with prevention practitioners and supports the expansion of local programs that build protective factors at the individual, family, and community levels to decrease the risk of targeted violence, hate crime, and terrorism. Jamey has managed a diverse portfolio of targeted violence prevention grant awards, advised states and local authorities on targeted violence prevention strategies, presented information on targeted violence and terrorism prevention, and coordinated with partners to convene experts to consider various targeted violence and terrorism prevention programs.
