You'll enjoy a good deal of autonomy in this role, driving
projects with the objective of doing what you do best: turning IT systems and
programs around. This position offers you the opportunity to expand your
experience and expertise, as you will be immersed in a diverse array of
challenges in multiple companies and settings -- much more so than the typical
corporate environment. You'll join a successful team of industry-leading
consultants who enjoy achieving results together.
In this newly reconfigured role, you will have both leadership and hands-on
responsibilities, as you will oversee entire multiple-project client
engagements and act as manager for some of those projects. This will include selecting
and implementing ERP systems, assessing IT functions and infrastructure and
recommending improvements, managing client expectations, and more. You'll also
be rewarded for independently building relationships with client officials and
turning leads into consulting engagements. You can expect to travel up to 50%
of the time.

More About Your Role
If you're a good fit for this position, you already know
much of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete
picture, here are some details.
Reporting to our Senior Vice President, you'll act as both client manager and
project manager. You can expect to be overseeing two to three engagements at
any given time, each of which will involve two to three projects. We operate in
a matrix structure. In addition to providing direction to diverse project team
members, you may be a "practice leader" for a standing group of
professionals with a particular expertise.
In a nutshell, you will direct the planning and execution of engagements and
projects that typically (although not exclusively) involve consumer product
companies. Your activities will include:
You will travel to your engagements, typically for three to
six weeks but sometimes up to four months. We'll leave your scheduling to you,
assuming you and your teams are achieving results.
Keys to Success
To excel in this role you will have consummate communication
skills; typically you will be interacting with executive level client
personnel, but you'll need to be effective in working at all levels within the
client organization. In addition, you'll need excellent leadership skills,
including the ability to influence and motivate those over whom you have no
direct authority. You'll also need the kind of sharp and bright professional
demeanor that immediately conveys credibility to clients. If this sounds like
the right mix of challenge and opportunity for you, and you meet the minimum
qualifications, we want to hear from you!
