e5 Global Media is a media and publishing company focusing in B2B magazines and
event management, including the following brands: Adweek,
Brandweek, Mediaweek, The
Clio Awards, Backstage, Billboard, Film Journal International, and The
Hollywood Reporter, as well as ShowEast, Cinema Expo
International and CineAsia trade shows. The
company, headquartered in New York with branches in US and UK, is currently
looking to revamp its business systems and infrastructure.
Job Description
The Infrastructure project manager will be a part of a PMO team setup to manage
the revamping of the company's business systems and infrastructure. The
responsibility of this role is to manage Web and IT infrastructure projects,
including server room build, data-center server deployment, email user
migration, as well as web hosting and application migration.
Location: New York City. Employment Type: W2 Employee. Salary:
Based on Experience.
Primary Responsibilities
* Project management in the following areas:
- Server room build-out and Co-location data-center server deployment
- LAN wring and WAN connectivity
- Business/web application and database migrations
- New Email and phone systems deployment
- eCommerce application development in the B2B
and B2C environments
* Develops and maintains project schedules and plans
* Assist with requirements gathering, analysis and design
* Maintain customer relations and communications including status reporting
* Coordinate vendor and technical resources to complete the projects
* Ensure that priorities are followed and goals are met
Skills and Requirements
* Must have team orientation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to details
* Strong verbal/written communications skills relating to stakeholders at all
levels
* Fluent using Microsoft Project and other project management tools
* At least two years experience in the media industry
* Experience with data center remote management and server room build out
* Experience with desktop rollouts, including PC and Mac platform
* Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
* Experience with rolling out large scale web sites
* Knowledge of server deployment and virtualization technologies
* Knowledge of network topologies, including LAN and WAN
* Knowledge of MS-SQL and Oracle databases
* Able to manage vendor relations
* BA/BS degree or equivalent
* PMI Certification desired
