Description:
Regeneron is a
biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, and commercializes
therapeutic medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions.
Regeneron currently markets ARCALYST (rilonacept) Injection for
subcutaneous use for the treatment of a rare, inherited, inflammatory
condition. The company has therapeutic candidates in clinical trials for
the potential treatment of cancer, eye diseases and inflammatory
diseases, and has preclinical programs in other diseases and disorders.
With a strong research base and product focus, Regeneron is able to
understand thoroughly the biology of specific disease states, discover
potential therapeutic candidates and evaluate product candidates in
clinical trials. Regeneron has developed several proprietary platform
technologies, which it has incorporated into a comprehensive system that
allows it to accelerate the discovery and design of fully human
antibodies and move these candidates rapidly into clinical development.
Position Summary:
Regeneron has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual
to serve in a critical leadership role within the Program Management
department. Leveraging extensive program management knowledge and prior
experience in the drug development industry, the Associate Director acts
as an operational advisor to a cross- functional project team in order to
meet corporate program goals and objectives. Additionally, he/she will
utilize project management expertise and leadership skills to implement
process improvement initiatives to advance the operational efficiencies
of our Program Management function which serves Regeneron enterprise
wide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the
following:
*Leadership: Provides leadership, guidance and support to a team, program
or project of moderate to large scope, as well as to the Program
Management department as a whole. Independently assesses the needs of the
program and department and makes operational decisions to support the
requirements for success.
*Planning and Tracking: Facilitates achievement of strategic goals for a
program / department. Monitors ongoing progress of key deliverables
against Global Development Plan goals, including the identification of
potential risks and contingency plans.
*Collaborations: Acts as a key liaison in the interactions between
Regeneron and our corporate partners. Prepares, provides input, and / or
manages the process involving major presentations for joint collaboration
meetings' effecting key business decisions. Responsible for facilitating
and driving decision making in support of the joint strategic objectives
of the program.
*Information: Defines, designs and implements new processes and tools to
ensure vertical and horizontal integration across functional areas and
the organization. Identifies and analyzes problems, creates tasks, and
develops solutions to cross-program, cross-functional or organizational
issues. Drives processes to support new approaches for sharing
information among teams and within the organization.
*Communication: Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication of
key issues and progress to the team and Sr. Management.
*Problem Solving: Proactively identifies and critically analyzes problems
affecting the programs. Develops viable and long-lasting solutions to
cross-program, cross-functional or organizational issues. Develops
contingency and troubleshooting plans as needed.
