Research Support
Program objectives
Support project management research efforts by chapter members and by the larger PMI membership while respecting members’ privacy and insuring that informed consent principles are applied in all cases.
Types of research
- Academic research -- non-commercial and not-for-profit
- PMI-sanctioned research
Candidate research projects must be covered by the proper policies (informed consent and privacy).
Note: We do not provide support for commercial (Non-academic) research or for market research unless requesters are willing to provide a good member benefit (payment or gift) or pay a sponsorship fee to the Chapter ($250 minimum).
Process
- Researcher requests participation of PMI Westchester Chapter members by contacting the PMIW Research Program Manager (research@pmiwestchester.org)
- The PMIW Research Program Manager reviews the research request and communicates with the researcher to ensure the above criteria are fulfilled.
- The researcher provides the necessary information about the research project, including details of the research requirements via the Research Requirements Template.
- An announcement is sent to PMIW members consisting of a short note about the research and a link to a survey website.
Note: We do not distribute members' names, and we do not send PDF's or other documents/attachments to our members.
- We also post the information on our website.
