How to Kickoff a Project

Why is project launch so critical to success? If a project begins with a sound understanding of scope, expectations and a documented project management system as the foundation, it is less likely to fail.

This was the focus of our discussion at the May PMI Westchester Breakfast Roundtable. There was group consensus that on most projects, there is far too much for a single Project Manager to do and just not enough time.  However, delaying the establishment of  key processes upfront  is  a recipe for disaster.
