Breakfast Roundtable, January 27, 2005
Topic:

"How to succeed at WINNING MORE CLIENTS AND LANDING JOB OFFERS" facilitated by Anne-Marie Ditta of First Impression Career Services, LLC

Location: Manhattanville College Cafeteria in Purchase, NY

Highlights:

Anne-Marie Ditta our guest facilitator provided a recipe to prepare in getting that new client or that new career.

Initially looking inward (know yourself) to find what will a career change or new client mean to you? Some discussion points: New Skill, Change in focus, Advancement, Excitement, Money.

What kinds of opportunities tap your motivated strengths?   What information do you need to know before engaging in business development or launching a job search?

Second, conduct research.  What information will give you an edge?  Where do you wish to target: specific industry, type of company or even a particular company.

Third what are your strongest selling points?  Do you have a 30 second pitch? What makes a good networker? Discussion points:  people who are willing to give and share, people that follow-up and are interested in establishing networking relationships.

Finally, sometimes you need assistance so polling a few colleagues, employers, friends, and family members or seek coaching and mentoring opportunities can help you find your greatest strength to get you closer to your next client or career change.

Fees: $4.00 for a full "cafeteria style breakfast".
