Job Scope:  Application of project management and engineering principles and methods in taking the lead, coordination and implementation of major construction projects from inception to completion throughout the Bank’s owned and leased space.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Leads and coordinates a broad range of aspects for major and minor construction projects to include the review of contracts, drawings, specifications and agreements submitted by contractors, consulting engineers and architects.

·         As a project leader, determines feasibility, prepares and reviews technical and engineering data, drawings and specifications for construction and alteration proposals.

·         Establishes and administers quality controls for construction projects, and plans and controls project execution schedules.

·         Conducts on-site inspections of each phase of construction projects to ensure compliance with the terms of the applicable contract.

·         Reviews for approval payment applications, change orders, etc. as submitted by the contractor and A/E consultants.

·         Participates in the RFP process, the selection of consultants and contractors, and confers with architects, contractors, engineers and construction related consultants.

·         Oversees and monitors capital budgets and expenditures for an assigned project and provides status reports as required.

·         Acts as liaison between clients within the Bank and the contractors and consultants. Coordinates with building facilities team to facilitate integration of new systems with existing. Supports facilities staff with building operations.

Staff Management:  Project Team leader and is the key coordinator of consultants, contractor resources and Bank stakeholders. 

Background, Skills & Experience:

·         Undergraduate degree: BS in Electrical Engineering; masters in business a plus.

·         Experience with major electrical infrastructure including UPS systems, Automatic transfer switches and emergency generators a plus.

·         Construction project related experience with five years of experience in the construction-related industry or consulting is highly preferred.

·         Sound oral and written communication skills.

·         Computer skills to include Excel, Microsoft Project, Word, etc.

·         Project management training a plus.

·         Knowledge of building services operations with a working knowledge of building codes and federal ADA guidelines are also a plus.
