Our direct client is looking for a STRONG IT PM.  The US business area is going through a period of sustained growth. The business recognise the value of what a good suite of IT systems can bring to their business model and are driving change through the industry with the partnership of IT. As part of this IT is building the capability and framework to allow this growth to occur. New business models are being investigated and established and the strategic SOA infrastructure is being relied upon heavily to ensure products can be delivered through new distribution channels in the shortest time possible.

The IT function is undergoing a sustained period of significant change. This is a very exciting time to be joining the team, however, it is not for those that need their department to be the finished article as we build up to meet the challenges presented to us by the business.

The Role:

The primary focus for this role is to plan and deliver a range of projects within the US business area. This includes the development of web and client-server systems critical to the Business Strategy of the US Business. It will also involve working closely with internal stakeholders in London and abroad, in addition to external parties including the management of development teams from an off shore development partner. This is a 'hands on' role and will require close involvement with the executive-level business stakeholders both directly and through the business change team and IT Business Analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

·Build strong, productive relationships with the managers and staff within the US Business team, across US and UK IT and with the external third parties in order to deliver effective solutions based on a clear understanding of the business drivers and needs

·Contribute to the strategy and planning of the US IT road map in order to enable the Hiscox business team to gain the most benefit from the use of IT in expanding market share whilst driving down transaction costs

·Deliver projects on time and to budget through the use of clear planning, risks and issue management and change control within the companies Project Management methodology in order to deliver the agreed objectives to support the business requirements
