The Westchester Chapter of the Project Management Institute serves Project Management professionals and those interested in this dynamic field in the lower Hudson Valley, including Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, and adjacent areas.
The Westchester Chapter's mission is to provide a forum for the purpose of the sharing and exchange of project management principles, techniques, practices, and information, to promote the use of project management principles and techniques within local businesses, government, universities and other entities, and to facilitate education in the field of project management.
ProgramsPMI Westchester's activities and meetings provide generous opportunities for learning, networking and exchanging ideas. Chapter meetings are held on the second Tuesday night of the month, from September to June. Our meetings are very well attended, with speakers from the tri-state area and nationwide, experts in their fields. Our members engage in lively conversations with our speakers, advancing the knowledge and expertise of everyone attending. Very often, area recruiters attend chapter meetings.
Monthly Breakfast Roundtable meetings provide a more intimate setting for Project Management professionals to explore a topic of interest in greater depth, with facilitators guiding the conversations. Breakfast Roundtables are a free-flowing exchange of ideas and are scheduled from September through June, on the second Thursday morning of the month.
The Chapter's Job Club holds biweekly meetings throughout the year and provides mutual support for project management job seekers. Participants establish job search plans in a supportive environment, identify key marketable skills, and learn how to uncover and follow up on opportunities. Success stories encourage participants to refine and follow through on their own job search plans.
Professional DevelopmentPMI Westchester is proud to offer a series of classes for those who are interested in preparing for the PMP exam. Classes are lively, energetic, and enthusiastically recommended by participants. Both members and non-members are welcome to enroll.
The Chapter's annual Professional Development Day is a highly anticipated, well-attended event, drawing members from area Chapters and other interested professionals in the tri-state area, to hear a wide range of speakers present on topics related to leadership and other themes of particular interest to Project Management Professionals.
